Position: 47 hours per week average, overtime available for holiday/absence cover
Pay: £13.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
* Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor
* Safely detain offenders following H&S training
* Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates
* Collaborate with covert security operatives
* Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders
* Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation
* Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet
* Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety
* Record patrols in daily activity sheets
* Provide security updates during store briefings
* Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity
* Maintain a safe and secure environment for all

Qualifications:
* Door Supervision or Security Guarding License
* Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or education

Desirable Experience:
* Previous experience in a retail security role

Job Overview

The Technical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing site operations, addressing technical queries, managing small project works, supporting the Facility Manager with day-to-day operations, ensuring subcontractor site management is robust, performing subcontractor audits, and proactively monitoring and challenging contractor quotes to ensure best value. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all technical aspects of the site are running smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Main Duties
* Oversee Site Operations: Ensure that all site operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulations.

* Technical Queries: Address and resolve technical queries from site staff and other stakeholders promptly and effectively.
* Ensure Best Value: Ensure that all quotes received from contractors and subcontractors provide the best value for the company.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and provide guidance to site staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality of work performed on-site, ensuring that all technical standards are met.
* Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on site operations, project progress, and technical issues to senior management.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including engineering, procurement, and safety, to ensure seamless site operations and project execution.

Elite Security Officers must be available to cover various shift patterns as well as being flexible in their approach to working locations and potential changes to working patterns.

Main Duties
* To protect customers and colleagues from physical and verbal abuse, by providing a reassuring and professional security presence.
* To provide a highly visible security presence which is easily identified by both customers and colleagues whilst providing an exceptional level of customer service.
* To proactively deter and prevent anti-social behaviour, theft and criminal activity.
* Liaising with the site management, Police and other external agencies when required.
* Utilising conflict resolution in order to diffuse difficult situations that may arise within the workplace.
* Ensuring behaviours and situations that endanger the health and safety and wellbeing of colleagues, customers and fellow officers are identified and rectified in a timely manner in line with company policies.

What we are looking for

* Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
* To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.

Main Duties

Operations
* To be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
* Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions, thus familiarising oneself with any changes in order to suggest additional amendments that will improve or enhance the current level of service.
* To be compliant with Industry and Statutory Legislation (you are required to obtain a front-line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision), which must be worn at all times whilst carrying out your duties. The Customer also requires a CCTV PSS SIA Licence. There are also additional courses that are contractually required.
* Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
* Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
* Work in a systematic, methodology and orderly way.

Training
