HMP Glasgow is a flagship project for Kier Strategic Projects in Scotland, The construction manager will be responsible for the delivery of the front of house building, a £50M + steel frame building that serves as the entrance to the campus
Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday
What will you be responsible for?
- To deliver a high value, technically complex building achieving safety, programme, quality and budget targets.
- To drive assigned project achieving completion in line with Kier standards and project targets empowering and guiding site team to perform.
- To take overall responsibility for application of Kier's SHE policies and procedures ensuring that all employees and subcontractors on site comply.
- To act as mentor, line manager and escalations point for site team, share knowledge and experience to help develop others.
- To report to operations manager, giving regular updates on progress and addressing any emerging challenges through collaboration.
- Promote Kier's values towards our supply chain and customers in order to exceed expectations and support them in achieving excellence.
- Ensure that works comply with the Business Management System.
- Ensure that effective records are maintained and kept

Your day to day will include:
- Manage on site delivery of the front of house building from pre construction through to handover, overseeing site manager and supervisors.
- Take responsibility for work progressing safely and in line with Kier and client quality expectations.
- Ensure that detailed plans are developed commensurate with the overall project plan in order that material/resources/supply chain can be manages to ensure work front performance.

What will you be responsible for?
As a Utility Project Manager, you will be completing documentation to get contract to site and delivering utility diversions project schemes including water. gas, electric and communications assets.
Your day to day will include:
- Manage the day-to-day site operations on site
- Manage and ensure ITP's are agreed and completed accordingly
- Complete daily records for works completed on site and note all programme delays
- Raise with the commercial team any changes or issues relating to the contracted works
- Attend weekly progress meetings with the client
What are we looking for?

- Experience within the utility industry

We're looking for a Highways Maintenance Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Somerset, working towards a Level 2 apprenticeship in Highways Maintenance Operative.

How does an apprenticeship work?
