Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting our client, a highly prominent mid-tier accounting firm with offices based in a highly prestigious area of London, that are eager to appoint an experienced Senior Bookkeeper/Management Accountant to complement the firm's business services department.
Role Requirements -
- Manage a portfolio of 10-20 high profile clients mainly from the world of entertainment and media.
- Daily bookkeeping for clients using XERO and Quickbooks
- Production of monthly management accounts to include commentary and analysis.
- Cash flow forecasting and budgeting as required by clients.
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns, and dealing with HMRC queries as required
- Purchase and sales ledger processing
- Data entry using various accounting software (Xero and Quickbooks Online)
- Liaising with clients and their representatives/managers
- Provide training to junior staff members.
- Ad hoc tasks as required.
Person Requirements -
- Ideally AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA fully or part qualified with 5+ years' experience working in a similar bookkeeper/management accountant role for a UK based accounting firm.
- Experience of working with high profile individuals to include A list celebrities would be advantageous.
- Highly proficient in the use of Xero, Quickbooks and other cloud-based accounting experience

CNC Machinist

We are currently seeking a CNC Machinist with experience in milling, turning or grinding machines to join a leading manufacturing business producing high-precision components for the aerospace and automotive industries. You'll work with modern CNC machinery, engineering drawings, and a dedicated team to deliver exceptional quality.

Shifts
- Day Shift (Mon-Thu 6:30-15:30, Fri 6:00-13:00)
- Afternoon Shift (Mon-Thu 14:45-00:00) plus 20% Late Shift Allowance
Main Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC turn/mill/ grinder machines and load appropriate gear-cutting programs.
- Ensure secure loading and clamping of components before operations begin.
- Adjust machine parameters and tooling to meet output and dimensional accuracy.
- Perform job changeovers within allocated setup times.
- Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
- Conduct inspections using micrometers, verniers, and other precision equipment.
- Carry out in-process checks and ensure all parts meet customer specs and tolerances.
- Proactively monitor machine components and report any damage or tool wear.
- Run multiple machines where possible to meet production targets.
- Troubleshoot technical queries and assist in problem resolution.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
- Support other team members and promote smooth shop floor operations.
- Adhere to company quality, safety, and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in a CNC turning, milling or grinding machines.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and setup procedures
- Confident using measuring tools and reading technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
- Experience with problem-solving and continuous improvement practices.
- A proactive mindset and great team spirit.
