Discover the Opportunity to Help Build a new town centre for Elephant and Castle.
Elephant & Castle represents the best of our capital city, a unique melting pot of cultures, creative learning and entrepreneurship, sitting at the heart of London.
Construction work is now well underway to reimagine the town centre, which has long been underinvested and overlooked. Taking inspiration from the rich history and social fabric of the area, we are delivering ‘The Elephant’ a major new destination that brings together new homes, retail, workspace, educational, transport and cultural facilities.
The Elephant will be a place where familiar brands surprise with new ideas, where rental living is taken to new levels, and where a community is connected like never before.
New pedestrian streets will be lined with 135,000 sq ft of shops, restaurants, cafes and new experiences, with well-known names sitting alongside independent start-ups. Above the streets will be almost 500 new homes including 172affordable homes, designed exclusively for renters who want to live at the heart of it all.
The new Northern Line entrance will offer enhanced accessibility, and step-free access to the mainline railway station, meaning smoother connections and improved transport infrastructure for the entire area ,surrounded by acres of inviting public spaces.
To top it off, the scheme will be anchored by a new university campus for UAL’s London College of Communication, providing a world class environment for the entrepreneurs and creators of the future to learn their craft.
The Elephant will celebrate the past, live in the present, and create for the future. Join us in creating this landmark destination.
