Southwark Council's Intermediate Care Service (ICS) is looking for a proactive and experienced Qualified Social Worker to support adults awaiting Care Act assessments or reviews. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary reablement service focused on promoting independence and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete Care Act assessments, reviews, and person-centred support plans
Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and chair Best Interests meetings
Provide crisis intervention and timely signposting to community services
Support individuals with complex social and health needs
Work closely with health professionals and informal carers
Promote strengths-based practice and positive risk-taking
Requirements:
Registered with Social Work England
Experience in reablement or short-term intervention services
Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014 and MCA
Skilled in assessment, planning, and partnership working

Southwark Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Older People and Physical Disabilities (OPPD) Contact Team. This is a front-line safeguarding role, focused on responding to adults with care and support needs who may be at risk of abuse or neglect.
Key Responsibilities:
Triage safeguarding concerns and complete Section 42 screenings
Lead and coordinate safeguarding enquiries
Conduct proportionate risk assessments and implement protective interventions
Work in partnership with families, providers, and external agencies
Attend and lead multi-agency strategy meetings and case conferences
Maintain accurate, professional records using Mosaic or LAS
Apply a Making Safeguarding Personal approach throughout your work
Requirements:
Registered with Social Work England
Strong safeguarding experience within adult services
Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and adult safeguarding legislation
Confident in multi-agency working and risk management

Qualified Supervising Social Workers required for work within the Fostering Service in Devon in Totnes. This is an exciting opportunity with excellent rates of pay in a Children Kinship Care Team. Pay rate up to £38.00ph. Hybrid working.
As someone who knows what good foster care looks like, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality and timely assessments to provide high quality carers for our most vulnerable children in Devon. You will be working in a fast paced and supportive environment.
Supervising Social worker responsibilities include:
- Foster carer supervisions and ongoing support to carers.
- Completion of high-quality carer annual reviews.
