Payroll Reporting Specialist
Ref: 24660SDD_1755515445Butler Rose is working with one of the UK's leading facilities management and professional services companies in their search for a Payroll Reporting Specialist to join the Payroll team. This is a three-month temporary role, based in Bristol with hybrid working, paying £18.00 per hour PAYE to the successful candidate.
Working Hours: 7.5 hours per day, flexible between 8:00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
This role will support the retained in house Compliance activities as well as supporting the business by ensuring that all of the Payroll Compliance services provided by the offshore team are fit for purpose and meet business requirements.
This role will play a key part in supporting the Payroll Service and wider business by producing accurate, timely, and insightful reports, championing data integrity, and assisting with system developments and projects. The position is ideal for someone with strong data analysis and reporting skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a reporting expert on Payroll systems, with a strong understanding of feeder systems.
Produce and manage monthly data quality reports, driving improvements in Payroll system data integrity.
Deliver scheduled and ad-hoc reports, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
Conduct statistical analysis and present data clearly and meaningfully for stakeholders.
Recommend process improvements and support data cleansing initiatives.
Support Payroll systems change projects, including requirements gathering, test script definition, and user acceptance testing.
Assist with data uploads and mass updates.
Collaborate with HR Shared Services to support company-wide Payroll projects.
Experience & Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of Payroll systems and reporting tools.
Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
Previous experience in a Shared Service Centre (desirable).
Experience working with outsourced service provisions (preferred).
Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
Highly organised, detail-focused, and confidential in handling sensitive information.
Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and within a team.
