South Tyneside Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Adults Social Care team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated professional to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes and live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake assessments, care planning, reviews, and safeguarding enquiries in line with statutory responsibilities.

Work closely with service users, families, carers, and partner agencies to provide person-centred support.

Apply strengths-based and outcome-focused approaches to practice.

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Manage a varied caseload effectively while maintaining high standards of practice.

Requirements:

Social Work England registration.

Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification).

Recent experience in adults' social care (hospital discharge, safeguarding, mental health, or community teams preferred).

Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.

Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills.
