We are recruiting for an Account Director to lead a high profile service delivery to a prestigious client in Central London. Delivering Engineering Services, this role manages an historic private estate in London. Leading a team of dedicated engineers, mixed between static and mobile responsibilities; an out-of-hours service; Projects, Small Works; technical expertise and guidance; as well as a contract based Helpdesk Operation, and all associated commercial, financial and the management team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an amazing Client organisation in the UK's leading Facilities Transformation business - but is by no means an easy challenge, so applicants should be resilient, high performing FM professionals with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Overview
* Delivering Mechanical, Electrical and Fabric services to c250 properties within an historic property portfolio in Central London, the Account Director will manage all aspects of the Mitie service provision across a blend of commercial, residential, mixed use and Grade II Listed buildings in two of London's most iconic districts.
* Working within an Integrator Model, the Account Director provides strategic direction and technical expertise to the Client and their chosen integrator.
* Mitie form part of the Client "One Team" alongside the Client, their Integrator and other Service Providers. The Account Director is a key member of the Strategic Leadership Team for influencing and setting the One Team direction and mission.
* Working within the One Team requires close collaboration with the Client, Integrator and Service Providers, and communication across different service partners, sub-contractors, Client stakeholders, and tenants and residents.

Main Duties
* The Account Director has full P&L responsibility for the account and is empowered to flex and evolve the delivery to ensure we best support the Client needs, and deliver the agreed KPIs and SLAs.
* Ensuring the team are able to balace the "business as usual" activity with additional works and projects, with the Account Director embedded in all aspects, will be key to successful delivery.
* Effectively manage the client relationship, using the Web of Influence to develop relationships with multiple tiers within the client organisation governance reporting structures. Build long-term relationships with client(s) that add value and are based on mutual trust.
* Ensure delivery of contract to agreed level of quality.
* Reporting on SLAs and delivering action plans to ensure that SLAs are met/exceeded.
* Understanding of contracts scope and form (eg payment mechanisms and procedures and variation control) and their importance to managing the contract.
* Preparation of contract level monthly KPIs, SLAs and P&Ls to show performance; forecasting and budgeting and preparing month end reports.
* Work closely with the Area Director to evaluate financial performance to develop action plans to improve financial performance.
* Ensuring that the risk related to new and existing services have been established, assessed and mitigated against.
* Managing vendor compliance in line with Mitie's procedures.
* Ensuring the Risk Register is completed and Business Continuity Plans are up to date and can be imple-mented when needed.
* Managing compliance including standard operating procedures, purchasing, statutory requirements (health and safety).
* People resource management - including coaching, development and employee engagement.
* Responsible for the leadership of all employees including effective resource management, recruitment, in-duction, EPAs/PDRs, development, coaching and performance management.

What we are looking for
* The role calls for a strong leader who will empower their team and effectively delegate; who is also a strong and highly competent communicator, able to deliver professional verbal and written communincations and guide the wider Mitie team in delivering the same.
* 5+ years' experience of Account Management within a Facilities Management environment, preferably within Techincal delivery accounts.
* A polished professional, who is steady and patient in temperament, with a mature mindset who wants to collaborate wherever possible.
* Experience of working within an extremely high pressured, dynamic environment.
* Ability to interrogate, interpret and utilise a wide pool of data to drive operational, financial and commercial decisions.
* Confident in managing multiple workloads and shifting priorities.
* Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative within a team environment.
* Experience of delivering change management.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
