We're looking for a high performing Planner to join our Transportation team working on the A417 missing link road project in Gloucester. This role is designed for a Planner with high potential, who is adept at problem-solving, making data-driven decisions, and delivering superior results under pressure.

Location: Gloucester – site based 5 days per week

Hours: Permanent Full time  

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum + £5.9k annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits

 

 What will you be responsible for?

As a Planner at Kier, you will be at the heart of major infrastructure projects, driving the planning, coordination, and execution of complex project schedules.

Your day to day will include:

  • Develop, manage, and refine detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, aligned to project objectives and key milestones
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to drive engagement and secure commitment to delivery plans
  • Take ownership of programme delivery across specific disciplines or site areas, ensuring that milestones are driven effectively from the programme
  • Assess and communicate the schedule impact of change events, recommending mitigation strategies to avoid delays
  • Ensure full compliance with NEC4 contractual requirements, including managing early warnings and programme submissions

 

What We're Looking For:

  • A driven individual who is proactive, takes ownership, and is committed to making a positive impact on the project's success
  • Experience of working within large-scale infrastructure projects with a proven track record of success and a passion for project planning
  • A confident individual with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging operational teams, clients, and subcontractors
  • A proven Planner, or an experienced construction professional looking to transition into planning. Full support and training will be provided to the right candidate
