About Our Client:

Our client is a rapidly growing Building Services Engineering Consultancy located in the bustling streets of Central London. Established in 2020, They have quickly become a 12 strong team, delivering exceptional work through strong client relationships. They are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join the design team. You will primarily work on commercial office real estate, restaurants/bars, and high-end residential projects, reporting directly to the Head of Department. Collaborating with a small and dynamic team of design engineers, electrical engineers, and a BIM team, you will play a key role in supporting and leading MEP projects from a mechanical perspective.

Working with prestigious clients, architects, and project management firms in London and the South East, they specialise in small to medium-sized projects across various commercial properties and building services engineering. This ensures that their engineers gain diverse skills and face interesting challenges on a daily basis.

Their young and diverse design team consists of 5 engineers and is rapidly expanding. This presents an exciting opportunity for you to help shape their work processes while advancing your career quickly. They are involved in projects and design, consultancy, and maintenance management for MEP services and lifts, with a focus on smart and flexible working. Currently 5 engineers within the design team and 5 engineers within the maintenance management team.

Located in the heart of Central London, the office enjoys a sociable and relaxed culture. They are situated on a vibrant cobbled back street, with plenty of choice for food or after work socialising adding to the charm of their workspace.


Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include leading feasibility and concept design stages through to RIBA Stages 3, 4, 5 & 6, working closely with architects, design teams, project managers, and clients. You will oversee the production of mechanical design schematics, designs, calculations, tender issue drawings, and technical schedules. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of our mechanical design standards and AutoCAD/BIM templates.

To excel in this role, you should have at least 5+ years of experience as a senior mechanical engineer. As part of our team, you will also be involved in mechanical surveys, energy and carbon analysis, consultancy, and troubleshooting. You will collaborate with clients and design teams to deliver energy-efficient, low carbon designs that meet regulations and best practices. Moreover, you will work on mechanical plant replacement projects, covering heating, ventilation, air conditioning, hot and cold water systems, above-ground drainage, controls, and more.

In return, The business offer a highly competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive an annual performance bonus of up to 20%, with spot bonuses available. They provide 28 days of annual leave per year (exclusive of statutory holidays) and offer a company pension scheme and a cycle to work scheme. They also foster a flexible working culture, allowing you to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
