Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded and well-established accounting firm based in the heart of Hitchin that are now seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional who is immediately available and able to commit to the assignment until the end of September.

Role Requirements -

  • Preparation of year-end statutory accounts under FRS102-1A and FRS105 for a varied portfolio of clients utilising CCH software.
  • Computations for associated corporation tax returns CT600 in line with HMRC requirements
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns to the HMRC.
  • Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries promptly
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines

Person Requirements

  • (ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience with at least 4 years' experience in a similar senior/client accountant role working for a reputable UK based firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, corporation tax, and VAT
  • Experience in an accountancy practice environment is essential
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Highly proficient in the use of CCH, XERO, Quickbooks software
  • Confident communicator, able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
