Position: Mobile Gas Engineer
Location/Region: This is a field based, mobile position covering the Reading and the surrounding region in the Thames Valley area.

This role is working for a mixture of high street retailers & banks clients for the TS-Mobile division.

The salary is based between £30,744 and is up to £50,000. The salary on offer that is made will be dependant upon the candidate`s qualifications and experience.

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Gas Engineer to undertake the maintenance and repair of the Gas Plant, including fabric & basic electrical tasks of buildings as required under contract. You must ensure all PPM and Reactive tasks are completed to the required legislative standards and all required paperwork is completed and submitted within timescales. You need to also participate on the On-Call Rota.

You should be capable to monitor of visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety, you need to issue appropriate permits, control small work and escort duties as required. You must ensure all certification is correctly completed and remedial works clearly identified. You need to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, complete the appropriate paperwork and reports and ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within the required timescales.

You will have a full current driving licence. Must have strong customer care focus, good communication skills and proactive skills. You should be able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults. You must be capable of completing essential paperwork in accurate and timely manner.

The ideal candidate would be qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines to role. You must have experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment such as boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable). You should have strong knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
