Job Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Picking & Reach Truck Operative to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for using Reach Truck equipment to pick and prepare stock for dispatch. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently. You will be required to work the night shift from 5:30 PM - 2:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Picking Stock Using Reach Truck Equipment:
    Use Reach Truck machinery to pick stock accurately and efficiently in line with order requirements.
  2. Packing & Preparing Goods for Dispatch:
    Ensure items are correctly packed and prepared for safe transportation.
  3. Loading Products onto Vehicles:
    Load completed orders onto delivery vehicles for dispatch.
  4. Maintaining Accurate Order Picking & Stock Checks:
    Regularly check stock levels, maintain records, and ensure orders are fulfilled correctly.
  5. Reporting Issues or Shortages:
    Communicate any discrepancies, shortages, or issues with stock to supervisors or managers.
  6. Following Health & Safety Procedures:
    Adhere to company health & safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  7. Maintaining a Clean Work Area:
    Ensure the warehouse area is clean, tidy, and organised, contributing to a productive working environment.

Requirements:

  1. Valid, In-Date Reach Truck Licence:
    A valid Reach Truck license is essential for this role. Please submit a copy or photo of your license before your first shift.
  2. Previous Warehouse or Picking Experience:
    Experience working in a warehouse or in a picking role is preferred but not essential.
  3. Physically Fit & Able to Work Late Shifts:
    The role requires physical stamina, as lifting, walking, and standing for long periods are part of the job. The candidate must be able to work late shifts.
  4. Reliable, Punctual, and Detail-Oriented:
    A high level of reliability and punctuality is crucial. The role requires attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfilment.
