Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Community Occupational Therapist to join the Community Therapy Team in West Sussex. This role will be based across sites, with a primary base at Hayworthe Villa, delivering advanced community-based occupational therapy interventions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, planning, and treatment to patients in the community, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote independence, safety, and improved quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake holistic assessments of patients in the community setting.

Develop and implement individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans.

Work closely with patients, carers, and other health and social care professionals to achieve agreed outcomes.

Provide expert clinical advice to team members and support staff development.

Maintain accurate and timely patient records in line with Trust and professional standards.

Participate in service development initiatives and contribute to improving patient care pathways.

Manage own caseload and prioritise effectively to meet service demands.

Essential Requirements

HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.

Significant post-qualification experience in community occupational therapy.

Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.

Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.

Access to own transport for community visits.

Desirable

Experience supervising junior staff or students.

Evidence of ongoing professional development and training.

Assignment Details

Dates: 1st September ongoing

Hours: 08:00 - 18:00 (Monday-Friday)

Location: West Sussex Haywards Heath
