Trafford - Adults Manager - Community Team £40ph
Ref: 3439032034_1755091364Trafford is on an exciting improvement journey and is seeking experienced and dynamic Team Managers to bring additional capacity and leadership to our Adult Social Care services.
We are recruiting two floating Adults Managers to work across our Community Social Work Teams, supporting service delivery, managing waiting lists, overseeing supervision, and driving forward our prevention and independence agenda.
One post will focus on managing our interim triage team (Front Door) - handling new contacts, signposting residents appropriately, and supervising staff to deliver prevention-focused support. This post will work closely with the community to ensure timely and effective access to services.
Both roles will float across four neighbourhood teams, providing hands-on leadership and operational support wherever the demand is greatest.
Key Responsibilities
Provide operational management and supervision to social work teams across Trafford.
Manage waiting lists and ensure timely allocation of cases.
Lead and support complex safeguarding cases.
Oversee and quality assure Care Act assessments and support plans.
Work collaboratively with commissioning colleagues, partner agencies, and third sector organisations to deliver seamless, effective support.
Analyse and use performance data to inform decision-making and service improvements.
Support the Service Manager in delivering departmental and corporate objectives.
About You
We are looking for confident, skilled, and highly motivated leaders who can hit the ground running and adapt quickly to different team environments.
Essential requirements:
Recognised social work qualification (CQSW, CSS, DipSW, Degree in Social Work, or equivalent).
Social Work England registration (or applied for registration).
Extensive experience as a practitioner in adult services.
Proven management and supervision experience within social care.
Strong understanding of community-based social work and prevention-focused practice.
In-depth knowledge of adult social care legislation, regulations, and guidance.
Ability to analyse complex information, make decisions, and implement solutions.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Additional requirements:
Best Interest Assessor (BIA) or Practice Educator qualification (desirable).
Evidence of continued professional development.
Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
Enhanced DBS clearance.
Working Arrangements
Initially office-based for induction and familiarisation with services.
Hybrid model: 2-3 days in the office per week thereafter.
Will be required to travel to various sites across Trafford and occasionally outside the borough.
