Southwark Council is seeking an experienced and dynamic Occupational Therapist to take on the role of Deputy Team Manager (Contact Team). This is the front door to Adult Social Care, where you will play a key role in ensuring residents receive timely, effective, and person-centred support.

You will work alongside Social Work Deputy Team Managers to:

Manage the team inbox and quality assure incoming referrals.

Triage cases to determine whether they can be resolved at the front door or require allocation for home visits.

Allocate cases to two Occupational Therapists for telephone assessments.

Support trusted assessors/customer support officers in decision-making around community equipment provision.

Collaborate with the wider team to deliver the best possible outcomes for service users.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:

A qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration.

Experienced in supervising staff and managing workloads.

Skilled in fast-paced, triage/front door environments within Adult Social Care.

Confident in decision-making, problem-solving, and ensuring high-quality standards in service delivery.
