Highway Electrician / LV Jointer - Street Lighting Operative
Location: Sleaford, Lincolnshire (covering Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Rutland & Nottinghamshire)
Rate: £20.38/hour PAYE + overtime
Contract: 3-6 months (likely to go permanent)
Hours: 37 per week (Mon-Thurs 7:30-15:30, Fri 7:30-15:00)
Van & PPE provided

E.ON, a leading energy solutions provider, is looking for a skilled Highway Electrician / LV Jointer to join their Street Lighting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Jointer or Highway Lighting Electrician to work on a variety of projects, including column installations and single-phase LV jointing, across multiple regions.

What you'll be doing

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing street lighting columns.

  • Carrying out single-phase LV jointing on the National Grid network (PVC/PILC).

  • Electrical testing, fault finding, and repairs.

  • Driving and operating company vehicles.

  • Working safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Collaborating in teams of two to deliver high-quality projects on time.

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Highway Electrical Work.

  • Experience in jointing and column installation.

  • Full UK Driving Licence (up to 7.5t desirable).

  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites.

Desirable:

  • NRSWA - LA 01 to 06 + 08.

  • G39, HESA 210/214 (safe isolation).

  • IPAF & ECS Card.

  • Experience with National Grid network jointing.
