Senior Practitioner - Children's Services (Specialist Non-Caseholding Role)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Children's Services team in a specialist, non-caseholding role. This role focuses exclusively on delivering high-quality CUBAS (Capacity to Understand and Be Aware of Safeguarding) and ParentAssess assessments, playing a key part in supporting practice quality and contributing to safeguarding decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete CUBAS and ParentAssess assessments to an excellent standard
• Prepare detailed, analytical reports to inform care planning and court proceedings
• Support social workers in understanding and applying assessment frameworks
• Contribute to safeguarding decisions through expert analysis and recommendations
• Provide evidence in court as required
• Promote consistent, high-quality practice across the team

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Training and proven experience in CUBAS and/or ParentAssess assessments
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and care proceedings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and support colleagues in assessment practice

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
• At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
• Social Work England Registration
• Driving license and access to own vehicle
