We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join Manchester's Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. This is a temporary role providing crucial support within a fast-paced safeguarding environment, working alongside partners in health, education, and the police.

Location: Manchester
Rate: £32 per hour
Contract: Temporary - Covering long-term sick leave
Working Pattern: Hybrid (Office-based Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays)

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee safeguarding referrals, screening, and enquiries

Undertake information gathering and ensure timely, accurate decision-making

Supervise and support social workers within the team

Promote effective multi-agency working to safeguard vulnerable children and families

Maintain high standards of professional practice and ensure legal compliance

Requirements:

Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration

Minimum 3 years' post-qualifying safeguarding experience

Proven experience as a Senior Social Worker, including staff supervision

Strong communication, listening, and assessment skills

Legally literate with the ability to interpret and apply safeguarding legislation

Interview Process:
Formal panel interview with representation from Social Care and Health.
