Veterinary Surgeon

Ref: vets4pets-46996
Vets for Pets
Veterinary & Animal Care
To £60000 GBP Salaried

Are you an experienced consults only vet? Do you thrive in a team environment? We have an unmissable opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to step up and join our friendly team at Bristol Imperial Vets4Pets, a well-established practice where some of our colleagues have worked since our doors opened!

Our team are expanding and with a Lead Surgeon already in place, we’re now looking for a vet to take the lead in all things medicine.

About us
As a locally owned and independently run practice, our vet team already consists of colleagues with a passion for surgery, dentistry and emergency/critical care. You’ll be joining an excellent team with fellow vets who are keen to learn from you and develop their skills, junior vets who need mentoring, as well as a very supportive and experienced nurse and non-clinical team.

We work hard here seeing a huge variety of interesting cases and benefit from a very close relationship with a peracetic referral service.

Proud owners of an ISFM Silver Certificate Cat Friendly Clinic award, a RAW Silver Rabbit Friendly award and an approved Veterinary Nurse Training Practice, we also have all the facilities and equipment you’d expect from a thriving GP small animal practice.

The role and you
No prior leadership experience is required other than the clinical skills and desire to support your colleagues and lead on an area you are passionate about.

Due to the nature of this role, we are therefore looking for a vet experienced in medicine to provide leadership in this area and be a role model and mentor to the rest of the team.  You will be pivotal in shaping the standards within the practice and putting your stamp on how care for your patients is provided.

As this is a brand-new role to complement our already skilled team, we can take a flexible approach to the rota and consider full or part time hours around your personal needs.

In addition to a highly rewarding role, you can also expect to receive

  • Salary from £50,000-£70,000 FTE, commensurate with experience
  • Full or part time hours considered
  • No ooh
  • Negotiable holiday allowance (salary sacrifice scheme)
  • 1 in 5 weekends (9-6 on Saturdays and 10.30-4.30pm on Sundays)
  • Holiday & sick pay funded
  • Paid annual subscriptions including VDS/ RCVS + 1 more
  • Uncapped CPD allowance
  • Contributory pension scheme

We are also ideally located in an area with great local amenities, plenty of parking and good public transport links with the train station and nearest airport just 15 minutes away. The M4, M5 and M32 are also easily accessible, taking you to other towns and cities within the UK including the beautiful Cotswolds and South-West coast which are also nearby.
