Job Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Security Manager at a multi-tenanted building, and the headquarters of an international Magic Circle Law firm. The office is situated in an iconic location right next to the City, boasting nearly 900'000 square feet spread over 13 floors including roof terraces and other facilities.

The Security Manager will manage and develop the mixed-skilled Security team in all areas of Security and maintain close working relations with clients and other stakeholders. They will be expected to effectively manage all aspects of Security for the building and ensure that the team are working in line with site policies and procedures to a high standard by monitoring performance levels against set client KPI's. Maintain that the Client is fully briefed and updated regarding any Security related issues that arise.

This is a fixed term contract and a great opportunity for a DSM level or senior supervisor to step-up and gain valuable experience in running a contract.

Main Duties
* The Security Manager is responsible for the effective discharge of all security operational duties as specified in the contract by the client. The Security Manager sits within the client's management structure and acts to advise the Global Security Management (and the Business Services Group) on physical security matters that may impact the business as well as working with A&O Shearman departments to ensure business compliance in security related matters.
* The Security Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of the physical security contract, all administrative and personnel matters relating to Mitie site security employees and reports to Mitie's Regional Manager, Key Accounts London.
* The Security Manager is responsible for creating, implementing, and enforcement of site security policy and procedures and ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)are coherent and up to date.
* The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day physical security operation on behalf of the client. TheSecurity manager has the responsibility for ensuring the effective and efficient discharge of duties by the Security Control Room, all site manned guarding staff and is responsible for the administration of the Access Control System, and Avigilon CCTV System.
* Reporting - All security related incidents are relayed to the responsible person and other interested parties with an incident report to be sent within three hours of the conclusion of the event.
* The Security Manager provides a report in-person to the Global Security Management, and the Senior Supplier Manager on all the relevant security and security infrastructure activities and events at the monthly KPI scorecard.
* The Security Manager conducts workplace investigations and controls data on behalf of the client and is responsible for administration of all manned guarding personnel matters.
* Reporting - All security related incidents are relayed to the responsible person and other interested parties with an incident report to be sent within three hours of the conclusion of the event.
* Any other reasonable request from Client or Mitie Management

What we are looking for

To perform the role of Security Manager, the person must:
* Have worked in the security industry for 5+ years
* Hold a current SIA front line license at a minimum of Door Supervisor level.
* Hold a current SIA CCTV license (Desirable)

The Security Manager manages three workstreams integral to the security of Bishops Square.:
* Manned Guarding
* Systems, including: OnGuard Access Control System, Avigilon CCTV System, and security infrastructure.
* Remote Monitoring for Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery
