Test new technology for client to make sure it is compatible with existing systems.

Readers, cameras, external detection equipment & card technologies have been the main test items.

Keep client aware of any major and minor issues that impact security of estate via conference calls or face to face meetings.

Communication with client teams to raise any issues with equipment that will impact the security of the estate. Hold regular catch-up meeting with client to discuss estate issues.

Make recommendations to Risk Register so client is aware of which products pose an issue to the estate.

Make client aware of existing equipment which is near EOL or no longer available.

Train customer on installed systems in use at Vodafone.

Hold training days at Newbury for new starters. Catch up days with corporate security if they need to understand how equipment works and change if required across the estate.

Assist with operations at VSOC.

Carry out weekly checks on Lenel servers to make sure all communications servers are running correctly. If any issues are found with site communications, I raise jobs with VSOC for engineer attendance.

Lenel Master Certified Engineer.

Mitie's Lenel master certified engineer.

Daily manage and maintain the Lenel security management systems.

Remotely login to Lenel Servers and check R1,R2 & R3 hardware to make sure all equipment is online and functional. When onsite or away travelling I have remote dongle access to the servers.

Train the Mitie engineers on the systems we have installed on the estate.

Hold training days at Newbury Canal House or onsite if requested for engineers to help better understand the setups at Vodafone buildings.

Attend sites across UK to resolve issues passed by BAU team managing the Dedicated engineer to support.

Issues that the BAU team are unable to resolve or long-standing issues that keep coming back attend site and resolve across the UK.

Remote assist engineers with installations and fault finding.

Remotely assist engineering team with issues onsite. Camera changes, setup changes to lock offs or site setup. External detection changes when projects are being carried out on site.

Assist Mitie contractors with installations and commissioning of systems.

Assist TSS, Mitie projects, Mitie engineering services with changes to site and handover to client.

Report issues into Vodafone Mitie account team so they can manage and report to client.

Regular contact with account team to discuss issues or upcoming works that may cause issues.

Test new products in lab and report back.

Part of the innovation of the contract is to find new equipment that may help the client going forward. Test the equipment in the lab and create a report of findings.

Test and find solutions to issues on site that need attention.

Find solutions with the existing equipment to better serve the client needs.

Telephone Technical support to Mitie Engineers.

Assist engineers on the phone during working hours and sometimes outside of working hours. To help solve issues onsite from call outs.
