Venn Group's specialist public sector legal team is assisting a South West Local Authority which is looking to appoint a Property Lawyer on a locum basis., * Managing and advising on the development, sale, lease, and other transactions involving public sector land holdings
* Providing expert advice on all aspects of local authority land transactions
* Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and governance standards
* Offering strategic and practical advice to clients on property matters
* Developing effective solutions to complex property issues, ensuring client needs are met efficiently
This is a full time position for an initial duration of 8 months. Monthly attendance at meetings is desirable, however the client may also consider candidates on a fully remote working basis. It would best suit a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx) with strong Local Authority experience. The successful candidate will be able to oversee and manage the residential acquisition programme on behalf of the Council with limited supervision. Experience and comfort with the full conveyancing process is essential.
