Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client based in Birmingham. As a Corporate Tax Senior Manager, you will oversee complex tax engagements, providing strategic advice on corporate tax compliance and planning. You will manage key client relationships, mentor teams, and contribute to business development initiatives. Your role drives technical excellence, client satisfaction, and the growth of the tax practice.

Role Requirements -

  • Demonstrates the ability to look forward at industry and wider legislative (or otherwise) changes which may affect clients and proactively seeks to offer support where appropriate.
  • Is able to tailor services to match client requirements in regard to scope and deliverables, timing and cost of services provided.
  • Ensures decisions and judgements are well informed by utilising all available data and information.
  • Shows understanding of the implications and consequences of decisions and judgements.
  • Role models and motivates others to work efficiently and to embrace new technologies and ways of working to achieve this.
  • Effectively communicates objectives and motivates and supports people through times of change.
  • Maintains passion and commitment to goals, in the face of obstacles and frustrations, seeking to understand the reason for these and ways to overcome them.
  • Actively increases knowledge and awareness of business and competitive environment to seek out opportunities.
  • Shows good understanding of our company values, and making good progress towards consistently demonstrating required behaviours.
  • Is proficient in reviewing tax compliance and complex advisory work, and as such is able to present assignments to director/partner in complete form. In addition, is able to limit review points from the director/partner to a reasonable number and in the main, review points of a complex technical nature only.

Person Responsibilities -

  • Holds a accountancy and/or tax qualification or qualified by experience (e.g. ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA).
  • It is expected that the above core and technical skills will have been developed through study alongside work experience in an accountancy practice.
