The role involves ensuring the correct collection and delivery of clean and soiled items to and from the Laundry Store and Changerooms across the Sellafield Site and LLWR. Key responsibilities include performing daily vehicle checks in line with company policies and procedures, recording any faults on the vehicle checklist, and reporting them to the Laundry Supervisor. The role requires loading and unloading the laundry vehicle at Non-Active Laundry, Medium Active Laundry, and various Changerooms across the sites, while maintaining compliance with company policies, site security, and health and safety requirements. Additionally, the position involves loading laundry cages for transfer onto the vehicle and unloading them using lift and tail lift equipment, ensuring the efficient delivery and allocation of laundry between the Laundry and Changerooms. The role also includes assisting with store activities such as daily preparation for monitoring. Candidates should have previous experience in
stock control, strong verbal and written communication skills, a solid understanding of health and safety and safe working practices, and a strong customer care focus. A full clean driving license with category C1 or C+E is also required.
