This is Social Media Technology Executive sits within the Scaled Reach Engine, which is focused on building world class media, retail media, social media and earned media capabilities and operating models. The Social Media Technology Executive supports product delivery, technical integration, and risk governance. The role acts as a translator between business and technical partners, ensuring that Diageo's Social & Influencer technology is not only well governed but also technically sound, scalable, and integrated with existing Martech and Data platforms.

The role supports the Product Lead by gathering and validating technical and functional requirements, engaging with technical teams (e.g. DA&I, D&T, Security, Vendors), and ensuring all platforms, data, tooling-are correctly scoped and configured.

Leadership Responsibilities & Capabilities
* No direct budget ownership; supports the safe and scalable enablement of Social & Influencer technologies and workflows with efficiency, risk mitigation, and performance benefits.

Purpose of Role

To serve as the business-technology bridge for Diageo Social & Influencer technology -supporting product development, functional rollout, and technical integration through expert analysis, design, and partner coordination. This role ensures that Diageo's Social and Influencer marketing activity is technically enabled, data-aware, and responsible in a scalable, secure, and measurable way.

You will be responsible for:

1. Requirements Definition
* Work closely with the Tech Lead to conduct market discovery and gather and refine business requirements from legal, marketing, compliance, and platform teams for Social & Influencer activity.
* Manage and run requirements workshops with Business and IT partners
* Translate requirements into structured functional and technical requirements for tool development and platform integration and a prioritised roadmap.
* Collaborate with multi-functional team- marketing, ecommerce, architecture, designers, product owners, data, analytics, to ensure a suitable 'customer attitude' solution is agreed on
* Maintain and evolve documentation for Social & Influencer marketing activity and technology

2. Technical Enablement
* Serve as technical SME acrosS Global Social - helping evaluate how technology integrates with marketing platforms and market ways of working.
* Support development or enhancement of tools such as DMC AI, use case risk scorecards, prompt libraries, metadata tagging, or model audit logs.

3. Multi-Functional Technical Interface
* Act as the key contact point for D&T, DA&I, and Security teams on tool integration, platform architecture, access and usage monitoring, and privacy compliance.
* Engage with external vendors or tool providers to ensure technical compatibility with Diageo's governance and integration architecture.
* Participate in testing, prototyping, and sprint cycles for Social & Influencer tools or platforms.

4. Documentation, Testing & Change Readiness
* Create and maintain clear documentation for framework implementation: process flows, requirements logs, integration diagrams, user journeys, and testing scenarios.
* Support UAT and functional validation for new governance features and technical controls.
* Assist with change readiness materials for technical teams, platform owners, and adoption partners.

* 5-7 years in Martech product delivery, or data/technology integration roles. * Expertise in Social Media technology such as Sprinklr, Dynatrace, Trackr. * A strong understanding of native social media capabilities and use cases * Experience working across Agile delivery teams and documenting both business and technical requirements. * Solid understanding of digital platforms, data governance, and enterprise technology systems. * Experience collaborating with data science, D&T, product, and compliance teams. * Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills; able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences. * Solid understanding of alcohol-specific advertising compliance and responsible marketing frameworks globally. * Results-oriented attitude, with a passion for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence within the allocated budget * Demonstrable ability to align global strategies with local market needs Success is seen as: * Future-fit, reliable, and scalable Social & Influencer Technology solutions and operating models. * Business and technical requirements for Influencer Marketing are clearly defined and met in platform/technology rollouts. * Roll-out of a secure, native, access model * Influencer Marketing tools and controls are technically integrated without disrupting user experience or campaign performance. * Increase in automation and technology to enabled Influencer Marketing activation. * High partner satisfaction with Influencer tech responsiveness, agility, and innovation trajectory.
