My client is a leading building services engineering consultancy specialising in creating innovative, energy-efficient, and sustainable solutions for commercial and residential projects across the UK. They are passionate about delivering high-quality, reliable designs that meet their clients needs and exceed industry standards.

They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team, with expertise in delivering exceptional electrical designs for UK commercial CAT A/B fit-out projects.

The Role:
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will take a leading role in designing and implementing electrical services for high-profile commercial CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects. Working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will develop electrical solutions that align with client requirements, project goals, and UK standards. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the design process, ensuring project quality, compliance, and the effective delivery of design objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, coordination, and execution of electrical services, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and data systems for commercial CAT A/B fit-out projects.
- Develop and produce comprehensive electrical designs that meet UK regulatory standards, client specifications, and project timelines.
- Manage project documentation and ensure compliance with UK codes and best practices.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate project progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and project managers to integrate electrical designs into the overall project framework.
- Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
- Incorporate sustainability considerations and energy-efficient practices into electrical design strategies.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline CEng status preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design, with recent project experience in UK commercial CAT A/B fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, codes, and best practices for commercial electrical systems.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Dialux, with a strong focus on electrical services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions confidently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
