Development Project Manager - Onshore Wind

  • Location: England (Hybrid Working Model) - bi-weekly travel to London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Development Project Manager to lead the development of large-scale Onshore Wind projects across the UK. This role is ideal for a highly organised and motivated individual with a strong background in utility-scale wind development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of onshore wind projects from early-stage through to Ready-to-Build (RTB), including planning, legal, technical layout, ecology, and community engagement.
  • Appoint and manage internal teams and external consultants to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
  • Utilise project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) to coordinate tasks, budgets, and timelines, including GANTT chart and budget reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders such as landowners, agents, solicitors, planners, and community groups.
  • Take a proactive role in community engagement, addressing concerns with empathy and clarity.
  • Provide monthly progress reports to senior management, including updates on development expenditure and risk assessments.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in utility-scale onshore wind development project management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a structured approach to project delivery.
  • Proficient in MS Office and MS Project, with confidence in presenting project progress.
  • Commercially astute with an understanding of how development decisions impact project value.
  • Educated to Bachelor's degree level in a relevant field.
