Purpose of the Job:
Barnet Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Community Team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to adult social care services and make a real difference in the lives of residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality social work in line with the Care Act 2014, Barnet Council policies, and the Code of Practice for Social Care Workers.

Conduct professional assessments for older people, adults with physical/sensory needs, learning disabilities, and carers.

Safeguard adults and carers at risk, adhering to Making Safeguarding Personal principles.

Undertake outcome-focused care and support plans, ensuring individual wellbeing remains central.

Provide information, advice, and signposting to local services to promote independence and resilience.

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.

Experience working within adult services and community settings.

Strong understanding of Care Act 2014 and safeguarding principles.

Ability to complete strength-based assessments and support plans.

DBS on the update service is desirable.
