Nottingham City Council is seeking a committed and skilled professional to join their Adults Safeguarding team, helping to protect and empower vulnerable adults across the city.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake safeguarding enquiries in line with the Care Act 2014.

Carry out risk assessments, mental capacity assessments, and develop safeguarding plans.

Work collaboratively with health services, police, and other agencies.

Ensure service users voices are at the heart of all decision-making.

Maintain accurate and timely records in line with council procedures.

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.

Demonstrable experience in adult safeguarding and statutory work.

Strong understanding of legislation including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).

Excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Able to manage a complex caseload efficiently.
