Haringey Council is seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join their dynamic Mental Health Team, delivering high-quality, person-centred support to residents with complex mental health needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a borough committed to inclusive, strength-based social work and collaborative practice.

? Key Responsibilities:
Conduct strength-based assessments and develop outcome-focused support plans

Apply expert knowledge of Mental Health legislation, including MHA, MCA, and DoLS

Manage a complex caseload involving safeguarding concerns, Section 117 responsibilities, and Court of Protection matters

Undertake NRPF (No Recourse to Public Funds) and Human Rights assessments

Navigate and utilise generic social care systems effectively

Collaborate with healthcare professionals, mental health services, and external agencies to ensure integrated and holistic care

Ensure timely access to appropriate services, placements, and community resources

? Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration

Demonstrable experience in adult mental health social work

Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and ability to manage complex safeguarding cases

Experience working with Section 117, Court of Protection, and NRPF frameworks

Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills
