Job Title: Experienced Social Worker - Safeguarding Team
Location: Worcestershire County Council
Rate: £32.67 per hour
Contract Type: Locum / Temporary

Overview:
Worcestershire County Council is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Social Worker to join its busy Safeguarding Team. This is a fast-paced role suited for candidates with a strong background in safeguarding and the ability to manage pressure while maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Make early decisions on whether safeguarding criteria are met

Take appropriate action on a minimum of 8 new cases per week

Participate in the duty rota (1 day per week)

Manage complex safeguarding cases in a high-pressure environment

Engage with multi-agency partners and contribute to protection planning

What We're Looking For:

Extensive safeguarding experience (essential)

Confidence in managing high-volume workloads

Ability to work independently and under pressure

Strong decision-making and risk management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication
