Job Description:

We are seeking experienced and driven Fire & Security Engineers to support a major nationwide contract, covering a portfolio of over 1,100 stores, including depots, supermarkets, and petrol stations. With our team expanding from 37 to 44 engineers, we are looking for professionals who can hit the ground running or are willing to learn and develop on the job.

You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control systems, and security tagging gates. This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires travel between allocated sites - typically managing a patch of 40+ stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, install, and maintain fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and electronic tagging systems.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs across retail and commercial sites.
  • Support system upgrades and commissioning of new systems as needed.
  • Ensure all work is logged accurately and meets regulatory and client standards.
  • Complete documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Liaise with store/site managers and coordinate work with minimal disruption.
  • Participate in ongoing training and probationary reviews over the first 12 weeks.

Requirements:

  • Experience in fire or security systems (both preferred, but cross-training available).
  • Background in either domestic or commercial installations is acceptable.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
