Knowsley Council is seeking two experienced Qualified Social Workers to join their Adult Social Care Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) based in Nutgrove Villa, Huyton. This is a fast-paced and collaborative team environment, focused on the triage and management of adult safeguarding referrals.

As part of the Adult MASH team, you will contribute to the protection of some of the most vulnerable people in the borough. Youll work alongside health, police, housing, and other professionals to deliver timely and effective safeguarding interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage incoming adult safeguarding concerns and referrals

Lead and coordinate Section 42 safeguarding enquiries

Undertake risk assessments and determine thresholds

Liaise with partner agencies to gather information and develop safeguarding plans

Make defensible decisions and record all work to a high professional standard

Prioritise caseload effectively in a duty-based setting

Essential Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

Substantial experience in adult safeguarding, ideally in a MASH or duty setting

Working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks

Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment

Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
