Site Manager (Electrical Bias) - Derby

Location: Derby
Duration: Approx. 16 weeks (with potential for extension)
Start Date: ASAP

My client is currently seeking an experienced Site Manager with an electrical bias to oversee ongoing works at their project site in Derby. This role is crucial in ensuring the day-to-day coordination, documentation, and compliance of site activities in accordance with project standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Monitoring:
Ensure all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are signed and followed. Monitor site safety and enforce best practices.

Housekeeping Oversight:
Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant work environment across all areas.

Programme Monitoring:
Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and update task completion percentages on the programme.

Progress Reporting:
Prepare and submit regular site audits and progress reports to stakeholders.

Look-Ahead Planning:
Develop and maintain a rolling 2-week look-ahead document outlining planned activities, including permit requirements.

Quality Control:
Inspect works for quality assurance, identifying defects, and issuing snagging sheets where necessary.

Basic Lux Level Testing:
Perform occasional lux level testing to ensure compliance with lighting specifications.

Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications/Certifications:

CSCS Card (essential)

SMSTS (preferred)

Electrical qualifications (preferred and advantageous)

Skills:

Strong IT and document handling skills (proficient with laptops, report writing, and permit systems)

Effective communication and coordination with subcontractors and site teams

A good understanding of site safety procedures and construction documentation

Experience:

Previous site management experience in an electrical or M&E environment is essential

Experience working on large, fast-paced commercial or industrial projects is desirable
