Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to join a Local Authority Safeguarding team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Managing and coordinating allegations of harm against professionals and volunteers working with children, particularly within education settings
* Providing oversight and guidance to employers and partner agencies during investigations
* Ensuring that cases progress in a timely manner and in line with statutory duties
* Advising on thresholds, procedures, and safeguarding frameworks
* Working closely with schools, police, and other safeguarding partners
* Preparing and presenting reports for panels and senior management

Working Pattern:
* Hybrid model - 36 hours per week
* 2 days per week office based

Pay Rate:
* £Negotiable per hour (Umbrella)

Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Registered with Social Work England
* Previous experience in a LADO role is essential
* Management experience within children's services
* Strong safeguarding and child protection background
* In-depth knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education and statutory guidance
* Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills
