You will be one of our subject specialists in Chemistry and will be responsible for managing a wide range of tasks to ensure the successful delivery for learners. Every paper must assess what we say it assesses, and the grade thresholds that we set must provide a reliable indication for employers and universities around the world of candidates' attainment in the subject. As part of this role, you will:
* oversee the production of the question papers taken by learners in the many exam series that we offer, ensuring that they are 100% accurate and free from error.
* ensure question papers are comparable from series-to-series, year-to-year, and are fair to candidates from different countries and backgrounds.
* work on setting the thresholds that determine grades.
* work with a range of stakeholders and Assessment Specialists, including Setters, Revisers, Vetters and Principal Examiners.
* manage teams of examiners and contribute to capacity building for the future.
* work collaboratively with our ministry partners around the world to develop and revise their syllabuses.

As one of our specialists in Science, you will have a degree in Chemistry or a closely-related subject. We welcome applications from individuals with strong classroom experience and/or subject expertise. If you've taught, or have relevant experience in Chemistry or a related subject, and have an understanding of project management or assessment in an educational setting, we'd love to hear from you. You'll bring: * a high standard of written and spoken English. * strong time management, prioritisation and planning skills. * effective interpersonal skills to enable achievements of time-bound results. * a collaborative approach to working with others to achieve team objectives.
