Zoe – Current Vet

About us:
Bolton vets for pets is a well organised, popular first opinion practice with a large following and a varied and interesting caseload. Jen, one of the practice owners, is ideally looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join her well established team to provide the best standards of care for the local community and their pets!

Bolton is a family friendly city and has ranked as one of the happiest places to live in the Northwest. The town is in close proximity to both Manchester and Liverpool, under an hour from the Peak District, one hour from Leeds, under 2 hours from the Lake District and Snowdonia National Park in Wales. The cost of living is very attractive, especially for those keen to step on the property ladder, as residents enjoy a higher standard of living that would ordinarily cost much more in other parts of the UK. Those with school aged children can enjoy a good standard of education and access to some great Colleges and Universities in nearby cities.

The Role:
At Bolton Vets for Pets we are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our caring, supportive team. Our work-life balance values are displayed in numerous ways via our daily schedules. Lunch break guaranteed, with time specifically put in the diary for catching up, calls, and emergencies. The practice team, led by our Practice Owner Jen, can offer part time hours or full time hours for you to work alongside a very settled team of 5 vets and additional clinical team of 7 RVN’s 1 SVN and an excellent reception team.

In order to maintain your work life balance and enjoy everything this area has to offer you will work within a 1 in 4 weekend rota, Saturday only from 8.45am to 12.15pm sole charge with 2 RVN’s and 2 receptionists in the practice. There is no Sunday work or OOH.

Jen offers a competitive salary of up to £70,000 dependant on your experience (FTE) and a generous benefits package that you would expect from a major veterinary employer. As an added bonus we can offer you a sign on bonus on joining us and a further payment on passing your probationary period.

Jen is also very passionate about supporting all her colleagues to achieve their veterinary career goals which includes supporting you if you are looking to undertake any certificates and CPD. With a surgical Certificate Holder and Exotics vet in practice, you can be supported in this and many other specialisms in their wonderful standalone practice.

If you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and great customer service and would like to join our team, we would love to hear from you.

For further information please email Jen at the practice on - [email protected] or Rachael at the support centre on - [email protected] and someone will get back to you in 1 working day.

We take our inspiration from pets in embracing people from all walks of life, and we value, respect and celebrate difference. We encourage our people to be their best selves so that we can create a better world for Pets, our Planet, and People. Our ambition is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and we are intentional in addressing and removing barriers to create opportunities for the exceptional talent and potential in our communities. Even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
