Job description:

Butler Rose are pleased to represent a superb opportunity to join a stable professional firm at their offices in Wilmslow, Cheshire as Part Time Payroll Manager.

If you are passionate about payroll and looking for less stress, more autonomy and better work/life balance, then consider this role working Part Time as Payroll Manager with days and hours to suit (envisaged to be ideally 5 days, working 10 -3pm) If you are an existing Payroll Manager or Payroll senior with full end to end payroll processing experience in an in house payroll or bureau/accountancy role - then read on!


The Role

Superb autonomous role in progressive, sociable firm to run your own show! Heading up payroll, delegating to an outsourced overseas payroll team who run the majority of the payrolls for you, while you check/oversee they are correct, whilst remaining _hands on_ processing your own key payrolls. A great role for a capable Payroll Manager/Senior offering p/t hours to suit!


Role Duties:

  • Oversee the general payrolls weekly/monthly undertaken by the outsourced payroll team, checking for compliance and accuracy prior to submission, therefore your knowledge of payroll deductions/tax calculations etc should be _second to none_.
  • Deliver accurate, compliant payroll services on time for your own key payrolls, dealing with employees direct over the telephone and email, liaison with HMRC and pension providers.
  • BACS submissions, PAYE, CIS, auto enrolment pensions, SSP/SMP, holiday pay
  • Keeping up to date with payroll legislation ensuring the highest standards.


Knowledge and Experience:

  • Solid expertise in Payroll and auto-enrolment pension procedures/legislation with proven experience working in busy inhouse payroll departments or bureau environments running both small and volume payrolls from start to finish at a senior level.
  • Strong and effective communication skills - able to build rapport at all levels.
  • A keen eye for details, solid organisational skills and time management ability.
  • Able to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
