Butler Rose are delighted to represent this great opportunity to join a friendly payroll team at their offices in Beverley, East Yorkshire as Payroll Senior Administrator

Are you an experienced Payroll professional with full end to end payroll processing background in an in-house payroll or bureau/accountancy role seeking to join a supportive, forward-thinking environment, where your experience and career aspirations matters? Then take a look below!

The Role

Working as part of a team dealing with payroll queries, responsible for running both weekly and monthly payrolls and enjoy building strong relationships in this varied role, passionate about delivering exceptional service. You will be empowered in your new role, receiving full payroll system training and supportive management from the Payroll Manager and your colleagues. This role offers future career development opportunities to take your career to Management level in the future together with CIPP supported training.

Role Duties:

  • Handle weekly and monthly payrolls, auto-enrolment pensions dealing with payrolls from start to finish via IRIS Sofology (training provided)
  • Deliver accurate, compliant payroll services on time, dealing with HMRC, and pension providers.
  • BACS submissions and exporting report, PAYE, CIS with confidence and professionalism.
  • Holiday pay, SMP/SSP
  • Keeping up to date with payroll legislation ensuring the highest standards.


Knowledge and Experience:

  • Solid expertise in Payroll and auto-enrolment pension procedures/legislation with proven experience working in busy payroll departments or bureau environments running both small and volume employee payrolls.
  • Strong and effective communication skills - able to build rapport.
  • Great attention to detail, solid organisational skills and time management ability.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ideally with knowledge of IRIS Sofology (training provided).
  • A proactive and friendly disposition, eager to develop your skills and career.
