Role Overview:
We are seeking a Band 7 Specialist Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, with a 50/50 split between delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services in a defined medical/surgical area and supporting the development and optimisation of the JAC Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) system.

This is a dynamic, practitioner-level role requiring both clinical and digital expertise. The post holder will play a key part in patient care, EPMA development, policy work, education, and audit.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Pharmacy:
Provide expert clinical pharmacy services to a designated medical/surgical ward.

Actively participate in ward rounds, MDT meetings, and patient care discussions.

Develop specialist knowledge within a clinical area to support safe, evidence-based medicine use.

Support prescribing, discharge planning, and medicines optimisation initiatives.

Deliver education to pharmacy, nursing, and medical staff.

Contribute to the development of guidelines, audits, and new drug applications.

EPMA Support:
Act as a "super-user" for the JAC EPMA system, supporting day-to-day queries.

Provide training for new staff and help maintain e-learning materials.

Liaise with IT and Pharmacy teams to ensure system optimisation.

Participate in local and national EPMA user groups and support report development.

Essential Requirements:
MPharm degree and GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.

Significant experience in a clinical hospital pharmacy setting.

Experience working with EPMA systems (ideally JAC).

Strong communication, interpersonal, and IT skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable Criteria:
Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent.

Independent Prescribing qualification.

Specialist clinical pharmacy training or experience in medical/surgical specialties.

Experience with Crystal Reports or EPMA data extraction.
