Tameside Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join their South Integrated Care & Support Team. This is a rewarding locum opportunity for a practitioner with a broad range of adult social work skills and at least 2 years' post-qualified experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Complete Care Act assessments and develop person-centred care and support plans

Undertake Mental Capacity Act (MCA) assessments and Best Interest decisions

Participate in safeguarding enquiries, risk assessments, and court work

Manage a varied caseload involving generic adult social work

Record accurately using Liquid Logic and TRAM systems

Work effectively with health professionals and other agencies within an integrated team

Key Requirements:
Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)

Current Social Work England (SWE) registration

Minimum 2 years' post-qualified experience in adult services

Strong knowledge of the Care Act, MCA, and safeguarding legislation

Car driver with access to own vehicle (essential)

Willingness to work on-site for the first 6-8 weeks to build rapport and understand service processes (hybrid possible after)
