About us:

We are an RCVS accredited, busy first opinion practice which opened in 2008.  Since then, our RVN Practice Owner Emma has led and developed our team which now consists of 6 vets, 8 RVNs, Practice Manager and Receptionist team. Take a look around our practice here.  

A focus on becoming an integral part of the local community has led us to build an excellent reputation and as such have a fantastic client base, many of whom are insured, bringing in lots of interesting cases.  We practice fear-free handling and in addition to our ‘in-team’ interests have strong links to our local referral hospitals which ensures we are working up cases to the highest standard possible. 

Our practice is based on a retail park with access to an array of shops, restaurants and other local amenities. As well as close proximity to Newcastle and the excellent transport links that provides, you will also find yourself surrounded by the beautiful Northumberland countryside and coastline. Close links with other local Vets4Pets practices and Pets At Home stores provides an additional network of support.


About the role:

By joining us you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential - nurse clinics & consults, anaesthesia monitoring, minor procedures and inpatient care, as well as responsibility for clinical areas and equipment. Assistance from a VCA and an SVN available.

We have exciting plans to expand our already well-equipped practice over the next few months, which will allow our serviced to develop further including schedule 3 and further nurse clinics. We are increasing our consulting space and expanding our clinical workspace to include an upgraded theatre and prep areas, a dedicated imaging & dental suite, and separate patient wards for dogs, cats, rabbits & isolation facilities. We are looking to gain accreditation for both cat and rabbit friendly clinic awards.

To apply you will have good general nursing experience and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to-earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare. 

This is a Full Time role working 38 hours per week across 4 days. This role will include working 1 in 4 Saturdays.
