Contract Opportunity: Data Migration Consultant - Unit4 ERP


Rate: £700/day | IR35: Outside | Location: Remote (UK-based)


Start: ASAP | Duration: 3 Months initially

We are currently supporting a UK-based public sector organisation undergoing a significant transformation of their Unit4 ERP platform. Following an initial implementation, the organisation is now embarking on a new phase involving the separation and configuration of a dedicated new client instance.

To support this critical phase, we are seeking an experienced Data Migration Consultant with a strong track record of managing complex data migrations within Unit4 ERP environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end data migration process between legacy and new client environments

  • Create and manage templates, run validation exercises, and ensure successful data loading using Unit4 import/export tools

  • Develop and execute data migration plans across testing and Go-Live phases

  • Support integration and testing teams through build-testing, UAT, and post-Go-Live

  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and full audit traceability throughout the migration lifecycle

  • Produce clear, comprehensive documentation and deliver knowledge transfer to internal teams

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience delivering full-cycle data migrations in Unit4 ERP

  • Strong understanding of Unit4 data structures, dependencies, and modules

  • Skilled in Unit4 import/export tools, validation techniques, and data transformation

  • Experience supporting testing activities and resolving data-related issues

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and documentation standards

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in SQL and other data migration tools

  • Experience working with data across multiple systems or integrated environments

  • Familiarity with public sector data governance and compliance requirements
