Job Purpose:
* To provide specialist technical horticultural and sports maintenance advice and knowledge on
matters relating to the operation and performance of the Public realm contract .
* To assist in the management of the Council's Public Realm client monitoring team to ensure
that the provision of a quality service in accordance with all Contract documentation.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. Be the Council's lead on providing technical advice and guidance in relation to the delivery of
the required contractual service standards and development of the Grounds Maintenance and
burial services technical manual and KOT's.
2. Establish and develop effective partnership with the Public realm contractor In order to ensure
that services are developed and delivered in line with the Specification and technical manual.
3. To have a thorough knowledge of all the Public realm contract documentation with particular
emphasis on the technical manual and documentation that relates to the grounds maintenance
elements of the Contract.
4. Carry out a programme of monitoring and inspections of Grounds Maintenance (including BHP
land), playgrounds and services are undertaken paying particular attention to horticultural and
technical matters to ensure services are provided in accordance with the contract specification
