Durham County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Connected Carers Team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive team focused on assessing, supervising, and reviewing kinship care arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete Regulation 24 viability assessments as part of a duty rota

• Undertake full Connected Carers assessments

• Provide ongoing support and supervision to Connected Carers

• Lead on the review process for carers

• Work from the Seaham office 1-2 days per week, supporting duty and team collaboration

This is a rewarding role supporting children to remain with family members wherever possible, ensuring high standards of assessment and support throughout.

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent

• At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services

• Social Work England Registration

• Driving license and access to own vehicle
