Ideal for a Veterinary Nurse looking to move into a non-clinical role.

Are you a natural leader who has the passion to inspire and motivate others in a fast-paced and dynamic veterinary surgery? Ruislip Vets for Pets have a new opportunity for a Practice Manager to join their team!

The delightful veterinary practice based on the Victoria Road in Ruislip enjoys an excellent reputation within the local community and you’ll be joining a hard-working and inclusive team who are passionate about their roles here.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week and weekends on a rota basis which can be discussed at interview, as well as some working from home hours.

What we’re looking for:
This position would ideally suit an RVN looking to take a step back from a full-on clinical role into a more management role whilst still doing the occasional nurse shift to keep their hand in and skills up to date. This role is very flexible, and your week can be split between management and nursing if you prefer.

However, any previous management experience within a veterinary practice would also be advantageous.

As our Practice Manager, you’ll ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business and support our Practice Owners in achieving key business objectives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing daily operations to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Upholding our ethos as the friendliest practice in the area
  • Managing and implementing HR policies for a valued team including supporting mental health
  • Resolving challenges swiftly to maintain excellent client service
  • Recruiting, training, rota and holiday management
  • Managing your own schedule to achieve operational goals
  • Debt management will form a crucial part of your role.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, encourage, and manage the team effectively.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Dedication to building strong relationships with clients and the team.

Benefits

In return, alongside a salary of £35,000-£40,000 dependant on experience, we offer such benefits as 20% discount at the Vet Group, Pets at Home and the Groom Room, access to discounts and cashbacks, in-house career development opportunities, pension, and holiday allowance.

Location: HA4 0LN

We take our inspiration from pets in embracing people from all walks of life, and we value, respect and celebrate difference. We encourage our people to be their best selves so that we can create a better world for Pets, our Planet, and People. Our ambition is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and we are intentional in addressing and removing barriers to create opportunities for the exceptional talent and potential in our communities. Even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
