Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team at Wigan Council on a full-time locum basis.

Location: Wigan, Greater Manchester

Contract Type: Locum - Full-Time
Working Pattern: Hybrid - Flexibility to be discussed at interview

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality social work to improve outcomes for children and families
• Apply the Family Safeguarding model and Wigan's strength-based approach
• Conduct child-focused assessments and regularly review care plans
• Manage complex caseloads and undertake direct work with children and families
• Collaborate effectively with key partners - Police, Health, Education, and Early Help
• Maintain accurate and purposeful case records using Liquid Logic
• Represent the council in court proceedings as required
• Commit to continuous learning and uphold Social Work England standards

What You'll Need:

• Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
• Registered with Social Work England
• Minimum of 3 years' experience within children's services
• Solid understanding of Child in Need, Child Protection, court work, and multi-agency safeguarding
• Experience using Liquid Logic case management systems
• Driving license and access to a vehicle
