Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join the Child in Need (CIN) Team at Trafford Council, with a particular focus on Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC).

Role Overview:

Join Trafford's dedicated Child in Need Service, working across localities to deliver timely and effective interventions for children and families requiring social work support. This specialist team is designed to provide robust assessment and planning, strengthen outcomes for children, and ensure consistent practice across the borough.

You'll take part in a duty rota and hold a manageable and varied caseload, including:

• Section 47 enquiries
• Child & Family assessments
• CIN planning
• Step-down planning where appropriate

UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children):

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience or training in:

• Age Assessments
• UASC-related statutory duties
• Trauma-informed care and cultural sensitivity

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a trauma-aware, relational approach that supports some of the most vulnerable young people in our community.

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
• Registered with Social Work England
• Minimum 3 years' experience in statutory children's services
• UASC and age assessment experience highly desirable
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
