Eden Brown Synergy is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team at Salford City Council on a locum basis.

Role Overview:

This is a great opportunity to join a committed, child-focused team that provides specialist support to children with complex disabilities and their families. As a member of the CWD Team, you will carry out statutory social work responsibilities with a focus on promoting the wellbeing and independence of disabled children.

Your duties will include:

• Carrying out Child in Need and Child Protection assessments

• Working with children subject to Public Law Outline (PLO) or Care Proceedings

• Contributing to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

• Developing and reviewing care packages, short breaks, and support services

• Collaborating with families, schools, health and community partners to ensure holistic and inclusive care

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in children's social care, ideally within a CWD or SEND setting

• Excellent assessment and planning skills

• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including Children Act 1989 and SEND Code of Practice

• Confidence in managing complex cases and working as part of a multi-agency team

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent

• Registered with Social Work England

• Minimum 3 years' post-qualifying experience in children's services

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
